Nurse Elizabeth BSN, RN
Elizabeth attended Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Nursing, graduating with her BSN in 2004. Elizabeth started her career as an emergency nurse. She has gone on to work in public health, inpatient pediatrics, and then nursing administration. Coinciding with the start of the COVID pandemic in early 2020, Elizabeth returned to the bedside on the med/surg unit where she works today.
Several things inspired Elizabeth to go to nursing school including her grandmother’s own nursing journey and the required summer reading book Izzy, Willy-Nilly by Cynthia Voigt.
Elizabeth is passionate about advocating for nurses as well as giving nurses a seat at the table to share their collective experiences.
Elizabeth and her husband are ever evolving as they raise three boys and two dogs. No two days look the same as they juggle their full-time jobs, raising a child with autism, and praying that their cleaning lady never gives up on them.
